Reggie Fils-Aime looks down the barrel of E3 and likes what he sees.

Despite his ultra-busy schedule, Nintendo Executive Vice-President of Sales and Marketing Reggie Fils-Aime took a few minutes to answer some questions so the Nintendo.com faithful can see what makes the man tick. Hopefully we won't get him too wound up -- he might take our names.

NP: What booth are you most excited to check out (excluding Nintendo's booth, of course)?

Reggie: I’m a real visual person so I like to see how well companies put their booths together – how creative they are and how exciting they make the space be. And of course, I love seeing what the competition is playing up.

NP: What game will you be playing on your Nintendo DS or Game Boy Advance on the flight to Los Angeles?

Reggie: I still really like WarioWare. It’s a great quick hit, especially for air flights. But then after that I might play Polarium. I was hooked on this game early on, and it still makes my brain hurt--in a good way!

NP: What experience from your past lives at Guinness and VH1 do you tap into to help prepare for an industry-defining event like E3?

Reggie: Working hard, making sure people understand what we are focusing on for our business over the next six months, and making sure all our great products shine! It’s also a great time to talk to people face-to-face and have a chance to learn a lot and share some great ideas.

NP: What do you do to prepare for your big speeches on the day before the show?

Reggie: By the day before, I've already put in a lot of hours practicing and preparing for the events. So the evening before is a time to unwind. I watch a great movie, eat some food, hang out with a few of my co-workers. It puts me in a good mood as I go to sleep and ensures I wake up ready to go.

NP: When the show wraps on Friday night, what are you going to do to celebrate?

Reggie: Thank everyone for their hard work, focus on our successes, and head home to get rested for the coming week.

NP: What's the craziest thing that happened to you at E3 last year?

Reggie: I guess because of my height, several attendees thought I was security and showed me their badges when I looked at them. It was pretty funny!

NP: Before E3 2004, did you have any idea what kind of reaction your opening statement would have at the media briefing?

Reggie: No, and my kids have never let me live it down.
